Terms and Conditions

1) All hardware products carry a standard 12 months return to base warranty with Meriden Computing Solutions. Exceptions apply regarding Monitors, Printers, Faxes & other hardware equipment that either hold longer warranty periods or become the responsibility of the manufacturer once purchased. On-site warranty or extended warranty can be arranged for upon request.

2) The services and equipment warranties are only valid to the confirmed address at the point of order, (address on letterhead). An additional charge may be incurred when there is a change of premises. This will be calculated based on distance and additional travel time to and from the premises. This condition is only appropriate where travel time and expenses are of significant difference to the original.

3) All purchases over £100.00 must be confirmed by signed facsimile or letter on company letter headed paper and an agreed percentage deposit is required in advance of order.

4) Cheques are only accepted with a valid banker's card and for larger amounts are required to clear before goods are passed.

5) Payments by cheque or credit card may be subject to a small surcharge. Please contact us for further details.

6) Once an order has been confirmed by facsimile, letter, e-mail or telephone a restocking fee of up to 20% will be charged in the event of any cancellation.

7) Products purchased in error and returned in the same condition may be replaced or fully refunded, although, returned products that have been used or the packaging shows sign of use may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

8) All damaged goods must be reported within 24 hours of purchase. All damaged goods will be tested by one of our technicians who will in turn provide you with a replacement or full refund once the product has been proven faulty and a valid receipt presented to them.

9) All goods or equivalent cash value remain the property of Meriden Computing Solutions until paid for in full. There are no exceptions regarding point 13 of these terms and conditions.

10) Meriden Computing Solutions will not honour any warranty for faulty or damaged goods due to misuse or in-experienced handling.

11) Our products are only available to persons within the United Kingdom.

12) Prices including published rates and special offers are subject to change without prior notice.

13) Once goods have been delivered and signed for the responsibility of those goods transfers to the new owner. No responsibility will be taken for loss, damage or theft of these goods.

14) Final payments are to be settled within 30 days of delivery and / or signed acceptance of goods.

15) Laptop warranty is for 12 months (battery warranty is 6 months).

16) In some cases there are problems with new pc's and laptops within the first few days or weeks from new. If these problems are hardware related, then we will provide repair and replacement of any parts. Quite often the problems that occur in the first few days or weeks are software related such as installing additional hardware devices or programs such as anti-virus software that alter the laptops working environment.

17) Please be sure that you buy the correct software. As with most computing companies, we are not able to return some software titles where the packaging has been opened largely due to the protection against piracy.

There is a standard one year RTB warranty on all hardware components. Faulty components will be replaced promptly

There is not usually a warranty on software. All installed software is tested before despatch and generally a software error is caused by faulty hardware, viruses or end user modifications. We will always be happy to look into these issues as and when they occur often cured by a single phone call.
